During the off-season Paula keeps active by working with various after
school golf programs for juniors in Westchester and Fairfield counties.
As an instructor, Paula's teaching philosophy is this; keep it simple,
focused and goal oriented. Not all golfers have the same learning styles or
physical abilities, nor do they learn at the same pace. No two students are
alike. Paula begins all lessons by watching and listening to the student and
helping them identify their goals in all areas of the game, from full swing
and short game. Once the goal(s) are identified the process of building a
sound swing based on the fundamentals and student's ability begins.
"Building a golf swing is like building a house, one brick at a time." As a
house is built on a strong foundation, a swing is built on sound
fundamentals; grip, aim, stance, posture, alignment, ball position, and pivot
action. Once you understand the essential swing fundamentals, you will
better understand the game/swing and will use them continuously to
improve your game.
